HyperSID is an innovative project that combines a software interface with custom built hardware to produce a hybrid subtractive synth with a warm analog sound.

Generating the audio is a custom built hardware unit that utilizes a SID chip - the one that was used in old Commodore 64 computers. A VST plugin, created with SynthMaker, is used to control the synth parameters. Real time integration between the software and hardware makes HyperSID act like any other VST instruments in your host application.
