A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Thanks everyone!
Just a shame you were not all able to be here for the shin-dig - even the sun and warmth came at last in Yorkshire for al-fresco boozing (my favourite kind).
42 this year. According to the mythology of Douglas Adam's 'Hitch Hiker's guide...', 42 is the answer to "the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything". But I think maybe I drank a little too much to remember any revelations about the meaning of life that I might have had!
Did get a great 'e-card' from a friend on the subject of the boozing which I will share with you...

When the lions are attacking the wilderbeast at the waterhole, it is naturally the weakest and least intelligent that are always picked off. This increases the average 'fitness for survival' of the remaining members of the herd.
By analogy, when drinking, it is surely the weakest and least efficient brain cells that are first picked off by the alcohol - thus your brain is left only with the strongest, cleverest brain cells - and their genius is no longer restrained by the useless brain cells using up your body's resources!

I'm sure there's a catch in there somewhere - but I'm too hungover to figure out what it is! ;)
Feel free to use any schematics and algorithms I post on the forum in your own designs - a credit is appreciated (but not a requirement).
Don't stagnate, mutate to create. Without randomness and serendipity the earth would be just another barren rock.
