Note to Name

Postby oddson on Tue Mar 14, 2006 3:18 am

I needed an inverse for the name to note module... so I made one and thought I'd put it up here in case anyone else found a use for it...

OSM

I haven't limited it's input range yet...

Actually, NUmber made one a long time ago; I added a switchable b/# & more...

I was holding on to it; hoping to submit to skOre a bunch of updates for his mega pack.

I just saw Trog's Note to Integer update... so here's mine to match (i.e. having an adjustable Middle C octave)

Small update - each note entry was creating two output triggers - added S&H so triggers are one in-one out.

Feel free to use any schematics and algorithms I post on the forum in your own designs - a credit is appreciated (but not a requirement).

Thanks... also should have the 'sharps' input coerced to a Boolean for clarity.

Thanks Trogluddite & Oddson. Wow that parse section in the Note to Int (bugfix) section looks alien to me. I think I need to learn how to use the rule primitives. I really appreciate your efforts.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
